Schwan Locke Munich

The Hotel Schwan Locke is inspired by the German Werkbund. My assignment was to portray five pioneering women of the Werkbund. I chose Lily Reich, Friedl Dicker, Magarete Schütte-Lihotzky, Gunta Stölzl and Marianne Brandt. It was particularly exciting to explore the life and work of the artists and weave that into the illustrations.
